One of the most popular reality TV show of India, Bigg Boss has returned with its 12th season.
The power packed show is being hosted, yet again, by Salman Khan. Unlike previous few seasons, this time, Bigg Boss 12 episodes will be aired at 9 pm “on special demand”, as per an official statement by Colours TV.
Bigg Boss has its fan following divided in two parts – one who are die hard fans of Salman Khan and the show concept, and others who hate this form of reality tv which causes them utter disgust. Incidentally, both categories are sizeable numbers for enhancing TRPs for Bigg Boss year on year.
Amongst others, there is a special entry this year that may get the older generation glued to the program as well. Bhajan singer Anup Jalota will be a part of Bigg Boss 12 house and he has big plans to entertain the housemates with his soul-stirring bhajans.
“When I got approached by Bigg Boss makers, I wondered what I could do as the show has a different kind of vibe altogether. Then, I thought maybe I could help housemates solve their problems with the help of my music. I plan to have a lot of fun there and will heal people with my bhajans,” he told navbharattimes.com.
He said he also has plans to lose weight inside the house by doing yoga and other exercises, while he could also lend a hand with cooking.
“I am good at household chores and in Bigg Boss house, I will iron clothes and help in cooking. I will also help Bharati to cook,” he said.
Keeping with the show’s theme of ‘Vichitra Jodi, the singer will be paired with one of his students, Jasleen Matharu on the show.
About agreeing to get locked up inside the house with Jasleen, the singer tells us,
“This time, the theme is different. We are going inside in jodis and I have with me, Jasleen who is a good singer. I am looking forward to some music sessions with her inside the house. She’s just the perfect jodi for me.”
“I am going to Bigg Boss house for holiday and fun. Staying there for three months would be a little difficult for me since I have a lot of recordings lined up,” he added.
The bhajan king further said that he will take a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to solve fights within the house.
“Whenever there will be a fight, I will present the truth in a diplomatic manner like our Modiji. I will tell the truth but in a way that nobody would be able to challenge it,” he told India Today.
The theme this year demands the contestants to participate in the show in pairs. There will be 14 contestants on the show this time.
Some of the other names include, Dipika Kakar, Neha Pendse, Karanvir Bohra, Srishti Rode, banned crickerter Sreesanth, Danny D, Maahika Sharma, popular YouTuber Deepak Kalal and Splitsvilla 7 fame Scarlett Rose.
