Bigg Boss 12 may have lost many fans yesterday with the eviction of Anup Jalota on Sunday night.
Jalota became a sensation when he entered the reality show with 28-year-old Jasleen Matharu. The show format projected the 65-year-old Jalota in a relationship with Matharu who is 37 years younger to him. This year’s show revolves around a jodi (couple) format.
However, the ghazal singer’s exit from the show too gathered much media attention as he revealed that there was no love story that existed between him and Matharu. He further stated that he only shared a musical relationship with Jasleen and more of a student and a teacher bond. He specifically said that there was no girlfriend-boyfriend tie as projected by makers of Bigg Boss 12. He quoted,
“People are not able to understand our relationship. We don’t have any kind of love story. We just share a musical relationship. She is my student and I am her teacher. I help her in learning music,” Jalota said, adding, “There is no girlfriend-boyfriend kind of relationship between us and we are also not involved in any romantic and physical relation.”
He also went on to say that in fact Jasleen’s father was his dear old friend and he happened to know her and her family for a long time. He even specified that he hardly found time to meet with Jasleen and neither she had ever met anyone from his family as well. He said,
“Jasleen’s father was his very old friend. I know Jasleen and his family for a long time. A lot of times I have met them at the airport and at their home. But Jasleen and I hardly get time to meet each other. She hasn’t even met my family members yet.”
But this may come across as a rude shock to many ardent followers of the show who blindly believed and trusted the entire script that had been projected from the time promotions started. Jasleen had even gone on record then to state that her parents would be shocked as no one was aware of her relationship with Jalota. She had also mentioned that the two had been dating since past three and a half years.
“This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so.”
