Sakshi Tanwar, television actor aka famously known as Parvati, commences her new journey as a mother.
The 45-year-old actress welcomed an eight-month-old baby girl with open arms this Dussehra. Excited and overwhelmed to have adopted the baby girl, Sakshi has named her Dityaa, which means “The Answer of Prayers”. Dityaa also represents the form of Goddess Lakshmi.
In an interview to Bombay Times, Sakshi confirmed the news by saying,
“With the blessings of my parents and the support of my family and friends, I have adopted a baby girl, who will soon turn nine months old. I am delighted to share my happiness with everyone as I welcome this bundle of joy into my life. This is undoubtedly the greatest moment of my life. My family and I are elated to embrace Dityaa. She is the answer to all my prayers and I feel blessed to have her in my life.”
Tanwar has been a part of the showbiz industry since almost two decades. While she debuted in Albela Sur Mela (1998), she became a household name with the popular Balaji teleseries Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kutumb and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She also tried her Bollywood stint in Dangal, along side Aamir Khan.
Sakshi was last seen as the host of a television food show Tyohaar Ki Thaali, where she shares her long-cherished heirloom festival recipes.
“I have learned and discovered a lot about the various Indian traditions and festivals through the show. My experience with Tyohaar Ki Thaali is even more special because it gives me a chance to know and share more about the food that I have traditionally grown up on, while discovering a lot of special recipes from festivals celebrated across other Indian cultures,” Sakshi said in a statement.
Sakshi also featured on popular chat show Koffee With Karan along with her then TV rival Smriti Irani in 2005.
Tanwar enhances womanhood with pride by adding her name to the long list of TV actors who have also opted for child adoption.
