This jodi could be the next ‘Parents in Distress’ during school admission for their child.
Irrfan Khan-starrer Hindi Medium was released in 2017 and fared pretty well at the box office.
The essence of the movie focussed on real problems and complex that parents faced in the capital city, while admitting their children to the ‘best English Medium School.’ Gathering positive response from movie goers and critics alike, the film that starred actors Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in lead roles, was also appreciated by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, making it tax-free!
Producer Dinesh Vijan, who recently got married to Pramita Tanwar, is now planning for a sequel and there is a possibility of the leads stars being replaced by none other than Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, said a source close to the producer. Since quite some time, speculations were rife that the makers are planning the film’s sequel, and had in fact, had gone all the way to meet Irrfan abroad for the same.
Rumours also suggest that initial script reading sessions have already commenced.
It is reported that Irrfan Khan will return for the sequel and actress Sara Ali Khan will play his daughter. Also, it is reported that the Hindi Medium sequel will be set in the United States and only a few portions will be shot in India. However, the director, Saket Chaudhary will not be a part of the sequel and Dinesh Vijan is scouting for a new director to helm the project.
If the news about the this Bollywood jodi is true, it will be interesting to see both Shahrukh and Kajol together in a content-driven film, after almost four years from their last release Dilwale in 2015. According to some sources, the sequel will not only bring the tried-and-tested pair together, but will also bring back Irrfan Khan as the same character he played in Hindi Medium.
A leading publication contacted Dinesh Vijan to confirm the news, but the producer was unavailable for comment.
