Newly-elected BJP MP Ravindra Shyamnarayan Shukla, better known as Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.
While attributing his victory to the “Victory of the Youth”, the bhojpuri actor also gave a badge of Anti-Nationalist to anyone who mocks PM Modi:
“One can never win by treason or traitorous talk or by speaking bad words against the government, who is in the power. Whole nation loves PM Modi and if you abuse him then you are not insulting Modi ji but insulting the whole country.
The whole nation is immersed in the love and honesty of Modi ji. If anyone blames Modi ji then country will consider him as a traitor.”
This was the same Ravi Kishan who on May 13 told NDTV that he had not done anything in Gorakhpur and was only campaigning in the name of Yogi and Modi.

Kishan had contested from the Congress on Jaunpur (UP) Lok Sabha ticket in 2014. However, when he did not taste success, he jumped ship to BJP couple of years ago.
Sources in different political parties said the Bhojpuri actor had been struggling for the last five years to get some important position in any political party. The Congress had sidelined him because of his “non-serious image as an actor”.
Later, he had also met Akhilesh Yadav many times when the Samajwadi Party president was chief minister between 2012 and 2017 and requested some land on the outskirts of Varanasi and funds to build a government-owned film city. Akhilesh’s sitting on the plea frustrated Kishan.
Ravi Kishan was smart enough to understand his vulnerability and the actor adopted saffron attire, which is an identity of the CM Yogi Adityanath.
