Watch Video : Ravi Shankar Prasad too addressed terrorist Hafeez Saeed as Hafeez Ji”; But are these real issues for India?

Ravi Shankar Prasad

Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Monday, came under sharp attack for referring to Jaish-e-Mohammed chief as ‘Masood Azhar Ji’ during one of his addresses in Delhi.

The opposition, starting from none other than the Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad himself, was prompt in taking a jibe on Gandhi. Quoting the Congress President, Prasad mocked the former asking him:

“What is happening to Congress Party.”

Soon to follow him was Union Minister Smriti Irani who is often and most of the times in the news, for mocking the Congress President. She posed a question via her twitter account:

“What is common between Rahul Gandhi and Pakistan? Their love for the terrorists.”

She also started trending the hashtag, #RahulLovesTerrorists

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s handle too tweeted:

“Rahul Gandhi only speaks what has been told to him. People who had Biryani once with the terrorists are asking for proofs.”

But, digital impressions are never lost!

Congress spokesperson, Priyanka Chaturvedi rebutted with a strong message posting another video from her twitter account, where the Union Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad himself is seen addressing terrorist Hafeez Saeed as “Hafeez Ji”:

“Hope this finds pride of place in BJP‘s revamped website, as & when it returns. BJP‘s admiration of Hafeez Saeed & his ilk. Also reminds us how they sent their special emissary to Pak,Ved P Vaidik, to have a dialogue with him & hug him. Hugplomacy began from there.”

Congress communication in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala defended Rahul Gandhi saying it was a ‘sarcasm’. In a tweet, he said:

“2 questions to BJP & select Bhakt Media, who deliberately seek to twist the ‘Masood’ sarcasm of Rahulji-:

1 Did NSA Doval not escort & release terrorist Masood Azhar in Kandahar?

2 Did Modiji not invite Pak’s rogue ISI to investigate Pathankot terror attack?”

While BJP is not leaving any political opportunity to use Pakistan and the terrorism associated with it before the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, it is perhaps just a shield to cover themselves behind the failures of development, jobs, economy, rural distress, demonetisation and others.
