Speeding Car Accidents – Death for Drivers, Destiny for others
A speeding SUV ran over four people sleeping on pavement near Jaipur Dairy Plant near Gandhi Nagar Railway Station, late on Thursday night. Two persons have been killed in this unfortunate incident.
The car in question was a Scorpio SUV and the driver could not keep the wheel under control, according to an eyewitness. As a result, the vehicle rammed into the pavement driving over four men, who were sleeping there, before the vehicle could come to a halt. Eyewitnesses and passerby rushed immediately alerted the cops at the earliest. The police reported at the spot within minutes and arranged for an ambulance to transfer the injured to the nearby hospital.
The people present at the spot of the accident, surrounded the driver of the SUV and prevented him from escaping. Later, he was taken under arrest by the official authorities.
The accused has been identified as Bharat Bhushan Meena (35), a native of Karuli district. Prima facie it appears the accused was under the influence of alcohol
said Kavendra Singh Sagar, additional commissioner of police, Jaipur (East).
Sagar said the four were seriously injured. Initially, the victims were rushed to Jaipuria Hospital but the doctors there have referred them to trauma ward of Sawai Man Singh hospital. The driver is said to have been lone occupant of the car.
The windscreen of the car had a sticker of a BJP leader from Karauli, Badri Meena on it.
The four victims have been identified as Jagmohan Meena of Dausa, Sitaram Yadav from Madhya Pradesh, Shahid Khan of Bharatpur and Nanuram Bairwa from Budni district of Rajasthan.
Speeding car accidents have proven to be fatal not just for people within the car, but also people on road who have become victims due to the careless attitude of the drivers.

In another incident reported today, 2 persons were killed and one critically injured when the car they were travelling in hit a truck on National Hightway of Barwani district of Agra-Bombay Road. Both the 48 year old men died on the spot.
