The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Results 2019 on Saturday.

Dhruv Arora from Indore, Madhya Pradesh became the state topper and one of the 15 students who got a perfect score in the JEE (Mains) January 2019 Examination.

What is credible in Arora’s case, is that he has been raised by a single parent, his father Mukesh, since his mother Poonam passed away three years ago. Mukesh Arora is a production manager in a private firm.

As per Dhruv, he has managed this success largely due to his father’s encouragement that didn’t let the tragedy of mother’s demise distract him from his goal. The young achiever has credited his dad for his complete support and guidance in leading him to this cherished success.

Dhruv is now looking forward to appear for national Olympiads next and would start preparing for the JEE Advanced thereafter.

Dhruv also mentioned how he thought mobile and social media were curses and the biggest distraction for students today. He said:

“I disconnected myself from mobile phones and all the social media platforms while preparing for the exam. I used to play sports during my leisure time. It not only saved my time but also helped me keeping my body and mind healthy.”

He emphasised on the balance between concentration, time management and discipline in the study hours that were essential to score well.

“I used to follow fix time table. For revision and practice, I used to spent 6-7 hours daily in two phases. More than marks and education in good college, knowledge matters to me a lot. I want to make my career in the field of research,” said Arora.

Kamal Nath, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh congratulated Arora on winning accolades for the state and wished him great success in his future endeavours.
